According to the Georgetown Magistrate's Court report Seon Lindo, of 66 Sixth Street, Albert-town, allegedly raped the girl on June 19. He was not required to plead to the charge.

Lindo's attorney, Redver Greenidge, told the court that the complainant, who is a student, went to his client's home and someone called the police while she was there. The lawyer said the girl did give consent but Lindo was arrested before anything could happen.

The magistrate said the medical report stated that intercourse did take place and as such remanded Lindo.

Prosecutor Robert Tyndall objected to bail on the grounds that the complainant is a school-age child.

The matter continues on July 9.
