Thanks to the PPP/C, Guyana now has a new image
I would like to congratulate the PPP/C Government for sixteen years of significant achievement in Guyana. Guyana’s image is now being transformed into that of a country with tremendous potential, which is now being exposed. This was not happening prior to 1992, when all that was attached to Guyana’s image were reports of a depressive economy.

Today, the changing face of Guyana is becoming more evident with each passing day. The new East Bank four-lane road, decorated with overhead lights, lends beauty to that area at nights.

There are certain features in any country that will validate whether or not development is taking place there, and Guyana has certainly given conviction of this by the huge infrastructural development evident by both the East Coast and East Bank roads, coupled with the huge buildings which were, and are being, constructed.

If one should take a tour of Georgetown, he/she would be convinced that the image of Georgetown has been transformed, and it is evident that development is taking place in Guyana. New schools, housing schemes, hospitals and the Providence Stadium are just some of the obvious features of growth in our country. These are just a few that come easily to mind as I think about development in Guyana. The construction of massive hotels and resorts, coupled with the emergence of several tourism activities such as bird watching and fishing bring to light the fact that investments are continually being made here. This tells that Guyana’s economic stature remains stable, because of shrewd governance on the part of this administration.
